Special Holiday Events at Hollywood Studios & Animal Kingdom

Over the last few weeks, I've gone over holiday events at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney Springs, and Disney resorts. We'll wrap up with the last two parks--Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom.

At Hollywood Studios, the decorations are everywhere including Gertie the dinosaur wearing a Santa hat! Around Echo Lake, you'll find jumbo sized ornaments, garland, and a giant Christmas tree set in the middle of the water! Make sure you pop over to Toy Story Land to see its special holiday decor, too.

Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM!

This show full of holiday magic is projected on the Chinese theater. Based on the Christmas show Prep and Landing, the story line is that Santa is missing! Full of holiday hijinks, tag along with Wayne and Lanny as they rescue Santa and save Christmas. Lots of great projections and fireworks make this fun for everyone.

There is also a Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! Dessert Party that can be booked!

Sunset Seasons Greetings

When night falls on Disney’s Hollywood Studios, an unforgettable scene starts to unfold. Billboards suddenly begin to move into motion and tell a tale while, the Hollywood Tower Hotel—a.k.a. The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror—magically transforms with projections as the Disney characters share their holiday stories!

Enhanced First Time in Forever

Olaf will deliver a special holiday finale to the show!

Meet Santa
Until December 24, meet Santa inside the store Once Upon a Time during regular park hours. From December 25 until December 31, meet Santa Goofy instead as Santa Claus heads off for a welcomed vacation!

Minnie's Holiday Dine
At Hollywood & Vine, meet Minnie and her friends who are all dressed for their special holiday dinner party!

Don’t miss the décor in Echo Lake, too, with Dinosaur Gertie and lots of lights!

At Animal Kingdom, Christmas is a little more understated. You'll find lots of wreaths and garland and characters dressed in their holiday finery in the various lands.

On Discovery Island, beginning November 8, 2019, you’ll find yourself in the midst of a celebration of winter. By day, stylized, see life-sized animal puppets. As day becomes night, rooftop luminaries in animal shapes and bird lanterns throughout Discovery Island will bring a warm glow to the village.

Also, as the sun sets, the Tree of Life will show wintry tales with a holiday musical score. Between awakening moments, the Tree of Life will shimmer and sparkle throughout the night, alive with the magic of nature and the spirit of the holidays.

DinoLand USA

See Donald’s DinoBash and meet Donald and friends dressed in their holiday best!

Asia

See glowing flowers, lanterns, and more as the residents prepare to celebrate Diwali—the festival of lights in India.

Pandora

See fun kitschy décor at Pongu Pongu that celebrates both cultures!

Characters

Meet Mickey and Minnie in their holiday wear at Adventurer’s Outpost and Russell and Dug on Discovery Island.

Animal Kingdom has a huge Christmas tree decorated with traditional snowflakes and lights but also animal masks, large animal depictions, and drums. Some of the other trees may have various animals; look for zebras, hippos, lions, giraffes, and more.

All the Disney parks are magical at Christmas. If you're visiting during the holiday season, make sure to see them all and find the magic of the season!
