19 New Experiences Coming to Walt Disney World in 2019

Now is the time to start planning that 2019 Disney World vacation! There are so many exciting things coming to the parks in 2019...here are just 19 reasons to visit in 2019 and this doesn't even include Star Wars Land or some of the other attractions set to open!

Starting Jan. 18…
  1. To honor THE Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Mickey & Minnie’s Surprise Celebration will bring music, dancing and fun to Magic Kingdom.
  2. The new “Move It! Shake It! MousekeDance It! Street Party” at Magic Kingdom will have you dancing with Mickey, Minnie and their pals in front of Cinderella Castle. Live singers will be presenting new arrangements of classic “Mickey Mouse Club” songs! Just love!
  3. The Dapper Dans and other entertainers on Main Street, U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom will sing songs in honor of our favorite mouse, Mickey.
  4. Look for special Mickey- and Minnie-themed merchandise and food!
  5. And this is a Surprise Celebration...so watch for more special Limited-Time Magic entertainment and other experiences to pop up periodically around Magic Kingdom.

  6. The Incredibles are moving away from Tomorrowland in Magic Kingdom and heading  to Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Look for a Metroville city block where Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone are throwing a party. You won't want to miss it!
  7. Meet the one and only Edna Mode – the greatest super suit designer! Find her special location on Pixar Avenue with some of her best designs. I'm guessing there will be no capes!
  8. Find your inner Incredible superhero on Pixar Avenue by posing in front of three-dimensional scenes from the movie, Incredibles
  9. While you're visiting Pixar Avenue in Hollywood Studios, see if you can find the littlest Incredible--Jack-Jack.
  10. Get ready for Mike and Sulley from Monsters Inc. to make a return to Hollywood Studios for a meet and greet!Hakuna Matata
  11. Celebrate the 25th anniversary of The Lion King (how has it been 25 years?) at Animal Kingdom with  the new Hakuna Matata Time Dance Party on Discovery Island! Hosted by Timon and Rafiki, this should be a blast!
  12. Have fun posing in front of special three-dimensional photo opportunities re-creating scenes from the The Lion King.
  13. The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is back! This year’s festival dates are Jan. 18 – Feb. 25!
  14. The Disney on Broadway concert series at Epcot is expanding to seven days a week during the Festival of the Arts, so you’ll have even more opportunities to experience some Disney musical magic live on stage. This is such a great addition to the International Festival of the Arts!
And later in the year…
  1. Don't miss Epcot's International Flower & Garden Festival, returning March 6 – June 3. Food, flowers, topiaries, and more!
  2. Even better, this year’s Garden Rocks concert series is also expanding to seven days a week during the Flower & Garden Festival. That's 270 concerts in 90 days since they'll show three times each night. That's three times the fun!
  3. One I'm particularly looking forward to...Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy races into Disney’s Hollywood Studios in spring 2019. (No firm date set yet.) This is a great addition to Hollywood Studios and brings a fun "boy" show to the park!
  4. Outside the Racing Academy, you’ll get to meet Cruz Ramirez from Cars 3. She's making a return to Hollywood Studios after having to leave in preparation for Toy Story Land this year.
And finally…
  1. If you haven’t visited Walt Disney World recently, then there’s even more for you to explore and experience. Become an honorary toy at Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, travel to the bioluminescent planet of Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or say goodbye to IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth – the nighttime spectacular at Epcot – before its conclusion scheduled for the end of summer 2019. (Not to worry...a brand new show will be starting right after.)
