The Grand Floridian Café Restaurant Review

The Grand Floridian is probably the fanciest resort at Walt Disney World(in my opinion).  Just walking into the resort, I feel like a princess!  When searching for reservations, which is something I do a lot of, I often see many openings at The Grand Floridian Café.  It got me wondering why because the resort itself is amazing, and it is so convenient to Magic Kingdom.  So, on our last trip, we decided to give it a try.  We had an early dinner reservation because I was surprising my little family with an evening at Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party, so I planned to just hop on the monorail after dinner and head to the Magic Kingdom.  The service was great, and the meal was delicious!  It was probably one of the best shrimp and grits I have ever had, and I have sampled this at a “few” places!

This was a beautiful flower arrangement right near our table.  The entire restaurant is very elegant, but also very comfortable.  I never felt out of place even though we were dressed very casual.

Our son, Daniel enjoying the beautiful restaurant.

This dessert was the kid’s dirt and worms.  How does that not appeal to a 6 year old boy?  Our son was in heaven!

We usually celebrate our son’s birthday while at Disney World, so his diet pretty much includes a cupcake at every meal (Parents of the Year)!

I am starting to think I should have labeled this as a dessert review!  We had the dining plan when we went in September (free dining promotion), and our meal counted as a table service credit for each member of our family.  The dessert we chose is pictured below.  It was a sample of most of the choices offered.  It was delicious and just the right sizes after eating a yummy meal!

After dinner, I told the family we were going to the Halloween Party and they were so excited!  I just love this picture of our Snow White and Happy Dwarf in front of yet another beautiful flower arrangement at The Grand Floridian Resort.  Our tummies were full and hearts were happy at another wonderful dining experience at Disney World!
