A Close Look at the New Endless Summer Resort at Universal Orlando

We (Jennifer and Kristin) had the privilege of attending a Familiarization Event for Agents last week at Universal Orlando. While there, we experienced the parks and also toured the resorts on property and were able to check out Endless Summer Resort, Universal’s newest property.  This is the 8th resort on-site, and also part of the Value category making it a great option for those looking to stay on Universal property on a budget!

This resort has two sections- Surfside Inn & Suites, which is open now, and Dockside Inn & Suites, opening March of 2020. We toured Surfside Inn & Suites which  has a laid-back, beach-y vibe. The lobby is decorated with surfboards, fishing nets, and white-washed beach swings with colorful pillows. There is also a full-service Starbucks in the lobby and a quick-service restaurant to grab meals as well as kiosks to print boarding tickets if needed.

Heading up to the rooms, we discovered they have an airy, light feel to them! Lots of blues, whites, and light browns give these rooms an easy, seaside impression. We immediately felt like we were in a seaside cottage - not in the middle of Orlando!  This resort features typical rooms, but it also has 2-bedroom suites if you’d like to have more space during your stay.  Though they are all priced at a “Value” rate, the rooms do not feel like that!
Fun fact: Surfside Inn’s color scheme is meant to resemble the beginning of a day at the beach – light blues and yellows, and bright colors.  Dockside Inn (opening in 2020) will feature colors found at the end of the beach day – darker oranges and yellows, and dusky blue hues.

The resort and its rooms are centered around a surfboard shaped pool, with plenty of chairs for lounging – a great place to relax and unwind! The Sand Bar is also on property and adjacent to the pool. This is a quick service location with a great variety of snacks to munch on while poolside.  However, what really caught our attention was their signature drink menu. Frose? Yes, please! Perfect for relaxing after a fun-filled park day!

While Endless Summer resort is a little further from the hustle and bustle of some of the other properties and City Walk, it’s a nice escape and change of pace. There are complimentary shuttles to the parks, and even a walking path there if you prefer. If you’re looking for a laid back, budget-friendly resort, Endless Summer is the resort for you!
