Wishdrawals Kids' Blog Series: Star Wars Fun at Disney World!

When most people think of Disney, they automatically think of Mickey Mouse. Did you know that in Disney's Hollywood Studios you can completely escape to a whole different galaxy? There are an abundance of Star Wars activities for the entire family to enjoy!

At Star Wars Launch Bay, you can hang with some of your favorite Star Wars characters. Meeting the hairy wookie, Chewbacca, is a fan favorite. He loves to give hugs and may even speak wookie for you if you're lucky! Kylo Ren, who is the leader of the dark side, is also located here. He doesn't like hugs, but he is still so much fun to interact with.
BB-8 is around the corner and he is the sweetest droid ever! Although he doesn't roll around, you're welcome to approach him with a friendly hug and take a photo. He shows his love through his many beeping sounds.

There is no shortage of Star Wars entertainment. In the amazing stage show, A Galaxy Far, Far Away, you can see all of your favorites! C-3P0, R2-D2, and Boba Fett are a few of mine. It shows various times throughout the day. Another fun activity that happens multiple times a day is the Imperial March. Captain Phasma leads her storm troopers through the streets of the park, and they interact with the crowd along the way!
My favorite fireworks show at Disney World has to be Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular. Projections from your favorite movies are shown on the Chinese Theater and massively impressive fireworks blast in the sky to the classic soundtracks we all know and love! The fireworks are nightly immediately following Fantasmic!

If just watching the shows isn't enough, you can take part in the action yourself! The Jedi Training Academy allows you to become a Jedi and help defeat the dark side! After you are dressed in your brown robes and given a light saber, you will be trained by some of the best! Once you are ready, you march together to the stage where you will encounter Kylo Ren and Darth Vader. You will have your chance to go head to head with one of these characters. Be sure to sign up early in the day as spots may fill quickly!

Star Tours is amazing! The ride allows you to experience what it is like to ride in the Millennium Falcon. It is all 3D and feels so real. In the front corner, C-3P0 will be your pilot. While this ride itself is so immersive, I cannot wait to see the new rides in Galaxy's Edge! This new Star Wars land will open late 2019 and it is sure to be nothing short of magnificent!

Even if you are not a Star Wars junkie like me, there is still plenty of fun for all!
