Normally we spend a lot of time in the parks with maybe a down day for one of Disney's water parks. This time we decided to take things a little slower--sleep in a little, stay out later and plan some fabulous dinners at restaurants we had wanted to try. First up was Narcoossee's!
Located at the beautiful Grand Floridian Resort, Narcoossee's sits out on the water at the edge of the property near their boat dock. The whole restaurant has lovely views of the water, grounds or of the Magic Kingdom. If you are there late enough, you can even view the fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and the Electrical Water Parade that floats by in the lagoon!
We were a little early, so we ran into a Disney photographer who snapped a few pictures for us, and then we headed to dinner. They seated us right away. It was very quiet and calm inside. Sometimes the restaurants are so busy and loud, but this one was not! We were able to have conversations.
Pan seared Georges Bank scallops! |
I ordered scallops, and my husband ordered the Ahi tuna and both were amazing. These were probably the best scallops I've ever had! My son, in true 12-year old fashion, ordered a burger!

Delicious almond crusted cheesecake! |
We were surprised when our server brought out a special dessert just for our anniversary, so we were able to try the almond crusted cheesecake, too--one of the desserts they are known for! We were not expecting anything, but it was such a nice surprise!

We enjoyed a leisurely walk back to the monorail to head back to our resort. This was one of the best meals we've ever had at Disney World. Yes, it's a signature dining restaurant meaning it's a little more expensive but the food and service are amazing and well worth the cost. We will be back for sure!
