Wishdrawals Kids' Blog Series: Star Wars Fun at Disney World!

When most people think of Disney, they automatically think of Mickey Mouse. Did you know that in Disney's Hollywood Studios you can completely escape to a whole different galaxy? There are an abundance of Star Wars activities for the entire family to enjoy!

At Star Wars Launch Bay, you can hang with some of your favorite Star Wars characters. Meeting the hairy wookie, Chewbacca, is a fan favorite. He loves to give hugs and may even speak wookie for you if you're lucky! Kylo Ren, who is the leader of the dark side, is also located here. He doesn't like hugs, but he is still so much fun to interact with.

Wishdrawals Kids' Blog Series: I Can't Wait to Be a Mermaid Again!

Some people think that the Pirate's League in Magic Kingdom is just for boys. Not me! I was able to be transformed into a magical mermaid there, and I can't wait to go back and do it again!

When you first arrive, you are to be given a pirate name. It is so cool. You spin a treasure chest and look through the pirate book to see what your name will be. You get to sign the book, too.

For a young teen, the Edge is a place to meet and bond with teens just like you. The space at Edge provides a group of fun interactive leaders and games you can play with friends. They even have areas on Disney’s private island for you to hang out with the people at Edge like the Teen Hideout. Edge is an experience for teens who need a vacation of their own on Disney Cruise Line.

Wishdrawals Kids' Blog Series: One Tween Girl's Favorite Thrill Rides!

This is the beginning of a series of blogs written by Wishdrawals' kids...the children of our Wishdrawals' Disney Travel Planners who have become experts themselves! Hope you enjoy!

Have you ever been to Walt Disney world? I have. While Disney is a great place itself, one important factor is their rides. You come to find you have favorite rides or rides that you continuously want to ride on. As an “older kid” or “tween,” I like more scary rides. If you’re like me, my favorite rides might become yours, too. Today, I am going to be telling you about my favorite rides.

Handling Unexpected Moments at Disney World

What do you do when an unplanned and unexpected moment happens while you're at Disney? Perhaps you've spent months or a year planning every detail of your trip and then the unexpected happens...someone has an injury or an illness, rain, or even worse--your Magic Bands don't work? Let's explore a few of those today!

Using our Disney ponchos in Animal Kingdom
What if it rains? Everyone hopes their trip will be sunny and 82 degrees, but it's Florida and the likelihood that it will rain a little is very high. The likelihood that it'll rain sporadically and possibly every day is really high! Don't give up and go back to your room though!

A little planning ahead and bringing some inexpensive disposable ponchos can go a long way. Not a planner or forgot those ponchos? No worries! Buy some at any store in Disney World! When it starts to rain, they'll magically appear. The current price is $9 for an adult poncho, and $6 for a child poncho. These are durable and can be used over and over! (I take gallon ziplocs just for folded wet ponchos!) Bonus: Many people will leave when it starts to rain, so the parks may even be more empty!
